Meeting at the Round Table

Curmudgeon and I have met for several Fridays at the Muskie Lounge. Lately we have picked up some new friends from Cincinatti to Syracuse. We hold court at a round table. Nobody sits at the head. The conversation has been diverse and free flowing. To paraphrase a song The drinks will flow but no blood will spill.........

  3. So I took your advice and I googled the lyrics to the song, it says blood WILL spill .

Sometimes its hard to interpret lyrics though just like the Clash song " Rock the Casbah " They are not saying " Rock the Catbox"

  4. You are right it the lyrics are blood will spill that is why I said to paraphrase not quote. I prefer that there be no blood spilled.

  5. Hi PG,
Was wondering if there was a gathering at the round table last night? If so, how was the attendance?

  7. Im going to have to try to make it some friday night for the round table discussion. Even though I havent lived here all my life and dont really know to many people in our area, I would still like to meet some of the people I share my thoughts with here and have a cold one or two.

  8. I checked out the Muskie during Pirates Weekend for the first time . Like the secret service checks out a place before a presidential visit, I needed to make sure that I have a planned exit in the event of a " jihad" during a round table meeting. Since I was cloak and dagger that weekend , it allowed me to enjoy a beer sitting next to my biggest fan (Johnny Truesdell) without detection . :) The Muskie is a nice mellow place to enjoy a beer. The front deck made for a nice vantage point to all the goings on that weekend. The colored oak leaves on the deck reminded me that fall is fast on the horizon .
