As I had said in another post You can look at www.tripadvisor.com and read the " carnage" regarding some of the " prominent hotels Prominent meaning "Large" . Since I personally have not stayed in any Abay hotels for a couple years as I bought my own place up a while back. I can say that one of the last places I stayed at that was really dissapointing was Pine Tree Point. After reading the travel forums today I guess not much has changed there. One year I kept my boat in their Marina . My boat is a cuddy and it sleeps two but one time I had a couple buddies up so we decided to get a room there. The room itself was a shizhole. It had french entry doors that you literally could used a credit card to unlock . The beds might as well have been hammocks. As I lay on the bed and looked at the ceiling, I noted that someone had written thier name in the popcorn paint texture. Someone had also tried to test the fire retardation of the ceiling with a bic lighter it appeared. The carpet was nasty, the tv didnt work . I think the pool was empty( of water ) The grounds were dark , as many laterns were inoppereable.
ReplyDeleteThe Marina where I keep the boat had seen better days , most slips were empty. many of the docks had fallen into the water.
I am not telling any locals anything they don't know , but if I was the owner of PTP I would be pretty ashamed. You can site the short season economy or whatever, but there is simply no excuse to run a business like this.
