Small World

         I was at the Dawg last night.  For some reason it was very quiet,  I was going to have one beer and head home.  Half way through my beer, Ron Beach came in with another guy.  I first met Ron back in the days of PJ's lounge, he was tending bar their.  I also remember that he and his brother rented Bruce Carharts house one year,  there were a few memorable parties with the Beach Boys in that house!  That had to be back in either 88 or 89.  I am thinking that I know the guy with Ron.  I went over to talk with Ron and he introduces me to what turns out to be his Uncle.......Pete Taylor.  Boy that name rings a bell.........he is my age and looks very familiar. Pete says,  I remember you.......we worked together as Life Guards one summer at the Fairgrounds pool in Watertown.  Jeez, that was back in 1978, thirty years ago.  Can you say "flashback"? 
      So I ask Pete if he is related to any of the the Taylors in the Bay?  Nope, no relation.  I mention that I will have to ask my wife if she knows you,  I refer to that as googling her.  Ron mentions who I married and Pete says.....She and I graduated together in 78!  Isn't it funny how you meet a person 30 years ago, lose contact with them and run into them again, only to find out there have been multiple connections all along the way.
     We had another beer together and talked about the old days and stuff.  I had a great time and hope to run into Ron and his Uncle Pete soon.
