Classic Thriller by Stephen King

I remember when this movie came out in 1976.  Brian DePalma was not really well known, but he was held in the highest esteem as a cult movie director.  He was responsible for movies like Dressed to Kill and Scarface to name a few.  I have subjected pg jr to alot of what I regard as classic movies:  Casablanca, Forbidden Planet, Invasion of the Body Snatchers, and even Jesus Christ Superstar.  As we watched Carrie, I could tell that this movie was a well crafted master piece.  Pg jr did not complain about how the movie looked old or was boring or predictable.  He flinched with perfect timing to all the DePalma-esque tricks of the trade in suspense.  I could not wait till the end of the movie where Carrie reaches out of the cinders to grab Amy Irving's arm.  As a testimony to this classic Thriller/Suspense movie, pg jr amost came out of his skin and then wanted to sleep down stairs for the rest of the night.  Sleep Tight
